This has been a busy year indeed. Photography has taken place, but time to share has not been overabundant, to say the least. Between mission travel to report to our supporters, normal church work and dealing with the aftermath of a severe, destructive earthquake, opportunities to share images here have been few.
On the other hand, I have managed to capture a few lovely images which I hope to eventually share here. I’ll start with one that I captured through a new (to me) Yashica Yasninon 50mm f/1.4 M42 lens mounted in a Fotasy M42-EOS adapter on my Canon EOS 6D full frame camera. This lens was gifted to me by my uncle, along with the original Yashica camera he used it on – back in the 20th Century.
This lens had a badly damaged filter on it, and the front threads were damaged by the same fall that damaged the filter. After removing the filter and carefully wiping down the lens, the results speak for themselves. I’ve not had the chance to use this lens extensively yet, but it gives a nice option for when I want to use a good old 50mm lens.
